The 8 Things You Don't Know About Me Meme
I haven't been tagged in a while, but Vache Folle tagged me. This isn't a chain letter/blog (blog memes never are) so I'm not claiming that your goldfish will die if you don't cooperate. Anyway, here are the rules:
"People who are tagged need to write these rules in their own blogs & share eight things about themselves that others might not know. At the end of the their blog post, they need to tag six people and list their (blog) names. Leave a comment on the blogs of the people they’ve chosen telling them they’ve been tagged and encouraging them to come over and read the eight things you’ve written on your blog."
Eight things? I didn't know I had that many facets to me, but here goes:
One. I'm part Swiss, German, Swedish, English, Irish and Lithuanian.
Two. One time in high school I got some seeds from a stoner at school and planted pot in my mom's garden. She didn't know what it was, but my dad (California Highway Patrolman) sure did!
Three. Thanks to Mrs. Scott, I now like chocolate more than just a little bit.
Four. One night when I was about 17, I snuck out late at night and drove around. I witnessed a car drive into a ditch and flip over upside down. I was so terrified at what I saw that I drove off. A bit later, I returned to find fire and ambulance vehicles there. I drove away again, never learning the fate of the driver.
Five. The homecoming dance my freshman year (our school had 1600 students) was the only high school dance I ever went to. A raffle was held for two season tickets to the Oakland Raiders, this during their glory years. This was the grand prize and it received a collective gasp of amazement. I won. There was no way I would as a freshman claim my prize on the spot so I opted for Monday morning at the school office. Later in the dance, the emcee made an announcement that a mistake had been made. They were SF 49ers tickets. "Boo!" They sucked (just three years shy of their first super bowl), but I liked them anyway. So I showed up on Monday to claim my prize, only to find out that they were really free passes to our school's varsity football games.
Six. My hat size is 7 1/4 - without steroids.
Seven. One of my pet peeves is when people list their pet peeves.
Eight. I have a degenerative spinal condition for which I regularly see a chiropractor.
I'm now supposed to tag six people, but some of the blog people I know best have already been tagged by others that I know. Here's five: Keith Darrell, Gene Redlin, TB Vick, Shelly and Society VS.
