Cell Phone Technology Still Sucks
Cell phone technology sucks. I remember getting my first cell phone back in the mid 90's. Calls dropped regularly, it sounded like you were talking to the other person through a toilet paper tube then recorded on a scratchy vinyl record. It's still the same today. We get dropped calls regularly, and we have the carrier with the fewest dropped calls.
There are certain "dead zones" that are certain to result in a dropped call. I don't know why they exist but they do. With my first carrier, there were three bad dead zones. One at home, one at work and one at church, the three places I most used my phone. Now, it's a real chore just to talk to Mrs. Scott while out shopping, etc., because of blank-outs, fuzzy reception and the like. Maybe someday...

I use Verizon and almost zero problems. I don't know if it's available out west, if it is, I highly recommend them.
Richmond,
I use verizon and it's terrible. They have more dead spots than a cemetery. Where is this herd of people (the network) see on TV.
I am getting out of my contract as soon as possible. Verizon stinks.
Roadie,
I've heard complaining from a Verizon customer, too. I think many cells are shared by carriers. My mom & dad's house is an example. Between them, us and my brother, our three different carriers all experience a dead zone in their house, and we need to go out into the street at one end of their house to get a signal. They live smack in the middle of a 120,000 population city in a 7.5 million metro area. My wife could make a map of dead zones they're so predictable. I'm glad you have good service!
