In any case, I do believe that scripture does point us that the gifts are not done away with yet. When that which is perfect comes, then the gifts will cease. But LOVE will never cease. When Jesus comes again, there will be no more need for the gifts. But LOVE NEVER ends. Prophecy will end when Jesus comes. Speaking in tongues will end when Jesus comes, but LOVE will not end just because Jesus comes.

1 Corinthians 13:10
But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.

Verse 8
Charity (AGAPE LOVE) never faileth (ENDS, dies, withers away): but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12009297.post-1540692529685886832013-11-04T06:50:33.766-08:002013-11-04T06:50:33.766-08:00I am not a cessationist nor a continuationist eith...I am not a cessationist nor a continuationist either. I will tell you what really bothers me- it is when I am sitting in the audience of speakers like John Macarthur and I feel as if the Holy Spirit inside of me is wanting to come out but He is being placed in a sort of spiritual straight-jacket, because their unidirectional teaching style keeps other points of view from being presented. This bothers me and I can no longer sit under someone that I am not allowed to speak to, that is, in a non-threatening manner. Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
