So reads the lid of the Costco (Kirkland) brand vanilla ice cream in the freezer. Obviously whoever designed the packaging was suffering from ice cream brain freeze while at the drawing board. I should send them a resume and offer to proofread.
Recently, Dreyer's down sized the their 1.75 quart container of ice cream to 1.5 quarts. (Ice cream used to come in 1/2 gallon portions.) When I called Dreyer's to complain, the rep offered to send me a coupon for a free 1.5 quart of ice cream. A letter accompanying the ice cream coupon stated that Dreyer's didn't want to raise the price, so they cut back on the amount of ice cream. Isn't that, though, in effect raising the price? It's like politicians who raise taxes and call it "revenue enhancement."
